Nabil Abu Rudeineh, the spokesperson for President Mahmoud Abbas, has stated that the U.S. administration bears full responsibility for the ongoing war of genocide waged by Israeli forces against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
He highlighted the current Israeli siege of northern Gaza and the continuous wide-scale attack on Jabalia and other areas in the North Gaza district, as well as attacks on Palestinian cities and refugee camps in the occupied West Bank.
Abu Rudeineh asserted that “the U.S. has provided persistent political, financial, and military support to the Israeli occupation, enabling it to continue its aggression against Palestinians and to defy international law and United Nations resolutions.” He emphasized that this support hinders accountability for Israeli atrocities and exacerbates the situation.
He called on the U.S. to pressure Israel, its strategic ally, to halt its attacks and comply with international resolutions. Abu Rudeineh warned that the o
ngoing Israeli war crimes risk escalating into a broader regional conflict that could have dire consequences.
The presidential spokesperson reiterated that the only solution to the region’s problems lies in ending the Israeli occupation and establishing a Palestinian state based on Palestinian, Arab, and international legitimacy.
He urged all factions to unite under the umbrella of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to preserve national interests and protect Jerusalem and its sanctities during these challenging times.
