RAMALLAH: Nabil Abu Rudeina, the official spokesperson for President Mahmoud Abbas, said today that the Palestinian people are facing a continuous Israeli war of genocide in the Gaza Strip, coupled with daily killings by the occupying forces in the West Bank.
In a press statement, Abu Rudeinah said the latest incidents of Israeli brutality in the West Bank include the shooting-to-death of four civilians in the village of Azzun and the suspected killing of a Palestinian prisoner in the Israeli jails.
Abu Rudeina emphasized that “the relentless aggression against the Palestinian people and their sacred sites, coupled with displacement attempts by the [Israeli] occupation authorities in Gaza and the West Bank, along with the absence of a political horizon based on international legitimacy, will devastate the entire region.”
The spokesperson underscored that “the conspiracies against the Palestinian cause aim to undermine the national Palestinian project.” However, he expressed confidence in the resilience of
the Palestinian people, stating that “they have thwarted and will continue to thwart all conspiracies against their rights, values, and national constants, regardless of the cost.”
Abu Rudeineh affirmed that the Palestinian people and their leadership “are capable of facing challenges and thwarting all attempts, whether regional or international, to tamper with their independent national decision.”
“The Palestine Liberation Organization, as the legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, remains committed to the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, preserving its Islamic and Christian sanctities,” he confirmed.
Abu Rudeineh asserted that the Palestinian people and their leadership “will safeguard the national constants, considered red lines in any resolution of the Palestinian issue, whether today, tomorrow, or at any time.”
Referring to the U.S. administration, Abu Rudeineh held it responsible for ailing to compel Is
rael to cease its continuous aggression against the Palestinian people and their land. He emphasized that the ongoing American support encourages the occupying authorities to escalate their hostilities and crimes against the Palestinian population.
