Premier urges UNICEF to protect Palestinian children

Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh has called on international human rights organizations, particularly the UNICEF, to intervene and put an end to the daily crimes committed by the occupation against his people. The latest of these crimes was the execution of the 16-year-old child Milad Munther Al-Ra’i, 16 years old, in Al-Arroub refugee camp in the West Bank. In a press statement, Shtayyeh said, “Milad and all martyrs of his age were not spared due to the innocence of their childhood and the tenderness of their fingertips. They were targeted by terrorist criminals who continue to murder children, breaking the hearts of their parents and relatives.” “The murderers derive their motivation to continue committing their crimes from the sense of impunity, which encourages them to repeat their horrifying acts that we witness daily in all the occupied territories,” he added Shtayyeh urged all international human rights organizations, especially the UNICEF, which specializes in child protection, to intervene and “put an end to the daily murders committed by the criminals driven by the motive to kill for the sake of killing.”
