Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese received on Monday 30/5/2022 Polish President Andrzej Duda and his spouse at the papal premises of the Coptic Cathedral in Abbasiya.
The pontiff welcomed the Polish president and his spouse along with their accompanying delegation, according to a statement issued by the Orthodox Church.
Poland is at the forefront of countries which give prior attention to humanitarian issues, said the Pope.
The Polish president, for his part, extended thanks to the Pope for the reception accorded to him.
Duda, meanwhile, pointed out to the meeting he held with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, saying that the meeting took up a host of issues of mutual interest.
Egypt is a country which respects freedom of beliefs, said the Polish president.
