Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli reiterated on Monday that the State bodies will continue taking strict measures against any encroachment on state-owned lands.
The premier made the remarks at a meeting with Local Development Minister Mahmoud Sharawy and Housing Minister Assem el Gazzar to follow up on the progress made in removing encroachments on state-owned lands and reconciliation over building violations.
The prime minister referred to efforts made by the authorities concerned to offer facilitation for citizens willing to legalize their status as regards the building code violations.
For his part, Shaarawy said that 2.8 million reconciliation requests have been submitted till the end of March last year, including 1.6 million requests in villages.
A technical committee is currently considering the reconciliation requests to make sure that all safety measures are adopted, the minister added.
Meanwhile, Gazzar reviewed the status of reconciliation requests in building violations in the new cities.
