PM stresses need of presenting incentive programs to aviation sector

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli emphasized the importance of exerting all possible efforts in order to present incentive programs to the aviation sector.

This vital sector is one of the main pillars in rendering the economic development plans successful, added Madbouli during his meeting Saturday with Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Abbas in the presence of Board Chairman of the National Air Navigation Services Mohamed Hassan.

Egypt is seeking to stimulate tourist arrivals, with a target of receiving 30 million tourists annually, said Mabouli, adding that this drive comes in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Madbouli, meanwhile, extended thanks to the aviation minister, all the ministry’s employees and the competent companies over their painstaking efforts during the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP27.

During the meeting, Abbas affirmed that his ministry is seeking to enhance the performance of the air transport sector in order to effectively contribute to supporting the national economy.

“We are currently working on intensifying the incentive programs in order to lure more tourists and to promote inbound tourism,” he said, pointing out to the continued coordination with the Tourism and Antiquities Ministry in this respect.
