Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli reviewed the progress achieved by the state’s cotton trading system, affirming the government’s commitment to supporting farmers and ensuring the expedited payment of their dues, particularly concerning the cotton crop.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouli made these remarks during a meeting held to assess the cotton trading system’s progress. The meeting was attended by Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchak, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk, Minister of Public Business Sector Mohamed Shemi, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan el Khatib, and other officials from the concerned ministries.
The session focused on the implementation rate of the cotton trading system, underscoring the state’s dedication to cotton farmers and enhancing the crop’s quality to achieve added value throughout all manufacturing phases.
