Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has chaired a meeting of the supreme committee responsible for organizing the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). The meeting, held on Tuesday, is part of ongoing efforts to ensure a successful and well-coordinated global event. The gathering was attended by key ministers, including those from the departments of industry and transport, tourism and antiquities, civil aviation, and culture, as well as the governors of Giza and Cairo and a host of relevant officials.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Cabinet Spokesman Mohammed El Homosany indicated that the meeting primarily concentrated on the comprehensive arrangements necessary for the museum’s opening. Discussions included the development of the surrounding areas and roads to facilitate access and enhance the experience for attendees. The committee’s efforts are crucial for the seamless execution of the event, which is expected to attract significant international attention.
