PM Reviews Natural Resource Exploration Progress.


Cairo: Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouli chaired a meeting to review the country’s efforts in exploring natural resources and precious metals. The meeting included key officials such as Minister of Petroleum Eng. Karim Badawy, and leaders from various ministries and institutions involved in mining and resource management.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Prime Minister Madbouli highlighted the government’s commitment to leveraging Egypt’s natural resources by expanding exploration activities in collaboration with global and local companies.

For his part, Minister Badawy provided an update on the ongoing exploration of gold and other minerals, outlining annual bidding rounds and licensing agreements for mineral extraction.

The discussion also addressed plans to combat illegal mining through enhanced monitoring, stricter penalties, and improved oversight. Minister Badawy also presented a strategy to reform the mining sector, including legislative improvements, capacity building, and b
etter promotion of Egypt’s mineral resources.

The meeting underscored the government’s focus on boosting the mining sector’s growth while ensuring sustainable practices and maximizing the potential of Egypt’s natural resources.
