PM reviews efforts to upgrade capitals of governorates

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said on Monday 18/7/2022 that Egypt follows up the implementation of urban development projects meant to upgrade capitals of governorates.

Madbouli, in a meeting with Finance Minister Mohamed Ma’eit earlier today, said his government is also keen on restoring historical Cairo.

The meeting focused on efforts to secure finances needed to implement such projects across Egypt through the Urban Development Fund (UDF).

Those projects are meant to improve the quality of living and secure thousands of jobs for residents.

Attending the meeting was board chairman of the UDF Khaled Sediq, who posted Madbouli on steps taken to implement the ventures in unsafe areas. He cited the “Ard el Khayala” project which is being established over an area of 40 feddans and is set to house 2,268 residential units and 28 stores.

Sediq also reviewed measures taken to implement the Old Cairo restoration project.
