Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli reviewed on Friday a report on the efforts exerted by the Cabinet’s Supreme Medical Committee chaired by Dr. Hossam el-Masri in October.
El Masri told the premier that the committee responded to more than 548 emergency calls announced by newspapers, news sites, social media pages, NGOs, civil society organizations, orphanages and nursing homes.
He added that the State will bear the treatment costs of 186 emergency cases.
These emergency cases include appeals for performing surgeries in different specializations, he said, noting that the committee took part in a large number of medical campaigns touring various governorates.
