Prime Minister Dr. Bisher Khasawneh on Thursday received Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) and the Adviser to the Saudi Royal Court, Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Rabeeah. PM Khasawneh noted efforts made by His Majesty King Abdullah II, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Arab leaders with the international community, to stop Israeli aggression on Gaza, protect civilians and ensure delivery of humanitarian aid, primarily food and medicine, to the coastal enclave’s people. During the meeting, which was attended by Minister of State for Prime Ministerial Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Jazi, and Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, PM pointed to the collective Arab position to reject displacement, mass punishment, and prevent delivery of humanitarian aid, which violate all international, humanitarian, moral, and legal conventions and norms. The PM said Jordan was the first country to send the first humanitarian aid plane to people in Gaza Strip, which arrived in Al-Arish area in Egypt since beginning of the aggression. On future steps, the premier voiced Jordan’s readiness to launch an air bridge of food, medicine, and humanitarian needs for Palestinians in Gaza to be delivered as soon as possible. PM also noted importance of coordination between Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) and KSrelief in delivering humanitarian aid to people in Gaza and West Bank. Meanwhile, Rabeeah hailed “brotherly” coordination between Saudi Arabia and Jordan under leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, referring to their diplomatic contacts and moves to stop aggression against Gaza and stand at forefront in delivering humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in the coastal enclave. Rabeeah also said humanitarian file is of particular importance in light of the difficult circumstances that Gaza people suffer due to the ongoing Israeli aggression against the enclave. Rabeeah stressed KSrelief’s aspiration to coordinate with Jordan’s relevant authorities and institutions to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. He also valued support provided to KSrelief in Jordan and steps taken to facilitate its work and humanitarian activities.
