PM: Presidential directives to swiftly end electricity crisis


Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli highlighted presidential directives on the importance of swiftly putting an end to the electricity crisis, especially reducing the duration of power cuts.

He said the government is working on drawing up mechanisms to end this crisis as soon as possible.

He made the remarks on Tuesday 25/6/2024 during a meeting on ditching the electricity crisis as well as load-shedding plans.

The meeting was attended by Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker and Petroleum Minister Tarek Mulla alongside a number of senior officials.

The premier is scheduled to give televised statements to expound the dimensions of the crisis and the government plans for confronting it.
