PM Praises Nasr Automotive’s Workforce for High-Quality Production Standards.

Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli praised the efforts and skills of the workforce at the El Nasr Automotive Manufacturing Company for their achievement in maintaining high-quality production standards. During a visit to the company’s bus factory, he observed the ongoing development work and reviewed various production stages, from inception to the final product. The premier received a comprehensive briefing on the quality and efficiency testing processes, which are conducted in accordance with international standards.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the factory currently boasts a production capacity of 300 buses per year, with plans to expand this capacity to 1,500 buses annually by 2027. The buses produced currently incorporate 50% local content, with expectations to increase this figure to between 60% and 70%. Export efforts to several Arab countries are already underway.

During his visit, Madbouli also participated in the delivery ceremony of the first batch of new “Nasr Sky” tourist b
uses to the Ministry of Transport. The new buses, designed with advanced technology for comfort and safety, can accommodate 49 passengers and measure 12 meters in length.

In addition to the bus factory, the prime minister inspected the development project at the passenger car factory. He was briefed on the construction progress and the accelerated timeline, with completion anticipated by December. Once finished, the factory will install production lines to achieve a design capacity of 20,000 cars per year in a single shift. Trial production is expected to begin in mid-2025, aiming for an initial local content rate exceeding 45%. The factory’s design allows for the simultaneous production of multiple models, highlighting its flexibility and advanced capabilities.
