Prime Minister Moustafa Madouli urged increasing joint campaigns of bodies concerned on microbus stops in all governorates to ensure drivers’ commitment to new fares.
This came in contacts held by Madbouli with the minister of local development and a number of governors.
The premier underlined the importance of full coordination among various governorates to set the suitable tariff for travelling between governorates in light of the new rise in fuel prices under a decision by the Fuel Automatic Pricing Committee.
He ordered the governmental complain mechanism of the cabinet to be quick to respond to any complaint about exaggerated rise in fares or monopoly of petroleum products.
Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawi has announced that the new fees increase should be ranged between 5 to 7 percent for all internal routes and between governorates, Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad said.
He underlined the importance of putting stickers of new fees on all public transports.
