NEW YORK: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Mustafa met separately on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly with the Foreign Minister of Algeria Ahmed Attaf, Foreign Minister of Bulgaria Ivan Kondov, Foreign Minister of Malaysia Mohamed Hassan, Foreign Minister of the Knights of Malta Ricardo Paterno, and Foreign Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Amery Browne.

Mustafa discussed with the Foreign Ministers the mobilization of positions and strengthening efforts to stop the Israeli aggression against Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and the efforts to obtain full membership in the United Nations, and to harvest more recognition of the State of Palestine.

The Prime Minister also discussed with the Foreign Ministers the mechanisms for implementing the UN General Assembly resolution based on the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice, in order to end the occupation and embody the establishment of the Palestinian state with East Jeru
salem as its capital.

Mustafa stressed during the meetings the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in areas of common interest at the official and popular levels.

The Prime Minister, along with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago, Amery Browne, signed a joint declaration to establish diplomatic relations between the State of Palestine and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and to develop ties of friendship and cooperation in areas of common interest between the two countries and peoples.
