PM Meets Moroccan, Lebanese Counterparts at Emergency Humanitarian Response Conference on Gaza


Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh held separate meetings on Tuesday, on the sidelines of the Emergency Humanitarian Response Conference on Gaza, with Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch and Lebanese Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati.

During his meeting with the Moroccan Prime Minister, Khasawneh underlined the strong relations between the two countries and the commitment to enhancing these ties in various fields, reflecting the visions of His Majesty King Abdullah II and King Mohammed VI.

The Prime Minister commended Morocco’s participation in the Emergency Humanitarian Response Conference on Gaza, highlighting the conference’s significance in mobilizing humanitarian support and ensuring the timely, comprehensive, and sustainable delivery of aid to Gaza. He stressed the importance of opening all crossings to facilitate this aid.

Khasawneh briefed his Moroccan counterpart on Jordan’s efforts, led by King Abdullah II, to halt the aggression against Gaza, deliver comprehensive and sustainable humanitar
ian aid, and advance toward a political solution that realizes the two-state solution, establishing an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Akhannouch expressed his appreciation for the deep fraternal relations and his eagerness to expand cooperation, serving the interests of both nations, lauding Jordan’s efforts in hosting the conference and its significant role in delivering and coordinating humanitarian aid to Gaza.

In his meeting with Mikati, Khasawneh and Mikati reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining strong relations and enhancing cooperation in various sectors to benefit both countries.

Khasawneh underscored Jordan’s support for Lebanon in facing challenges, achieving stability, and achieving the aspirations of the Lebanese people. Mikati expressed gratitude for Jordan’s supportive stance under King Abdullah II’s leadership, praising t
he robust bilateral relations and Jordan’s efforts in regional issues, particularly the Palestinian cause.

Mikati also commended Jordan’s role in hosting the Emergency Humanitarian Response Conference on Gaza and its efforts in coordinating international aid delivery to Gaza, ensuring an effective and sustainable mechanism for humanitarian support.
