Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli commended the pivotal role played by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in achieving digital transformation of all sectors, in cooperation with other ministries.
Madbouli made the comments during his meeting on Thursday 29/8/2024 with ICT Minister Amr Talaat at the government’s premises in New Alamein city, where they reviewed aspects of cooperation with different ministries in digitizing all services, including those related to education, finance, economy, notary processes, agriculture, investment and religious affairs.
The communications minister briefed the premier on the progress made in developing post offices nationwide, noting that nearly 814 post offices of the first phase of the development project have been upgraded, while work is underway to complete the development of the remaining 10 offices within this phase.
Talaat stated that some 745 offices of the second phase have also been developed, noting that work is underway to complete the deve
lopment of 17 offices within this phase.
As many as 600 post offices of the third phase will be developed by the end of the current fiscal year, taking the total number of modernized post offices to 4,800, the minister said.
