Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli inspected housing units of the “Housing for All Egyptians” presidential initiative targeting low and limited-income segments, during his visit to the 10th of Ramadan City.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the prime minister was joined by Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Sherif Sherbiny, along with officials from the Housing Ministry. During the visit, Madbouli inspected a 90-square-meter social housing unit in the East Andalus district, which is part of the broader initiative.
The initiative is currently implementing 125 buildings in the East Andalus district, amounting to a total of 3,000 housing units. The housing minister reported that all 125 buildings have been completed and handed over with finished facilities.
Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, provided an update on the progress of social housing units in 10th of Ramadan City. The total number of units up to the sixth phase is 81,736, with 67,288 units completed and 14,448 units still under construction.
The housing minister also informed Madbouli about the project’s components, detailing that out of 82 buildings, 68 are currently under reconstruction.
