PM, Housing Minister review file of legalizing status of state-owned lands

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired on Tuesday 7/3/2023 a meeting to review the measures and rules of collecting the State dues from violators who seized state-owned lands located in the vicinity of some new cities.

Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad said the meeting comes in light of the State’s decisions to mandate control over these plots of land to some bodies affiliated with the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) in some new cities.

The spokesman added that the meeting also covered the executive status of the presidential decrees on annexing lands in some cities, the strategic plans to make the optimal use of such areas as well as the requests filed by citizens to legalize the status of the lands they had previously seized.

As regards the premier’s recent visit to Qatar, Madbouli directed the housing minister to accelerate measures to allocate a plot of land of an area ranging between 50,000 to 100,000 square meters to one of the Qatari investors to set up a high-standard hospital to offer excellent medical services to citizens as the Qatari investor has already several hospitals in Qatar in partnership with major international medical institutions.
