Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said the government targets increasing the country’s foreign reserves, through a well-defined plan to attract foreign direct investments, strengthen the private sector’s contribution to the national economy, bolster the local industry and raise Egyptian exports.
The premier also added that the government pays great attention to logistical projects to facilitate global trade movement via the Suez Canal.
Madbouli’s remarks came during his meeting on Thursday 18/8/2022 evening with Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Hassan Abdullah.
The prime minister asserted that the government would coordinate with the CBE in a number of key economic files during the coming phase.
Abdullah said the CBE would fully coordinate with the government to achieve sustainable development goals for the State, especially in light of the current global challenges.
