PM: Gov’t Proactively Preparing Scenarios Addressing Regional, Int’l Economic Challenges


Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli stated that the government is actively developing scenarios to address mounting regional and international economic challenges and their impact on the nation, aiming to preserve recent achievements and ensure economic stability. Madbouli’s remarks came during a meeting with members of the consultative macroeconomic committee to discuss several key topics and files.



According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouli emphasized the importance of considering various perspectives and ideas to tackle these challenges through expert-outlined scenarios. He highlighted that the economic ministerial group and governmental ad-hoc committees are tasked with formulating scenarios to address all challenges and explore potential opportunities.



Participants at the meeting stressed the importance of addressing the economic challenges facing the state and implementing a set of measures in response, as noted by Cabinet Spokesman Mohamed el Homosani. The meeting also focused on the repercussions of US tariffs and discussed proposed solutions.



Committee members proposed attracting foreign investments and implementing measures to secure food supply chains amid external shocks and price fluctuations as part of the strategies to tackle economic challenges, according to the spokesman.
