Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli stressed following up on the implementation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to prepare a comprehensive national strategy for combating unemployment in light of consecutive international crises, especially the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
He highlighted the importance of examining relevant legislative and institutional mechanisms for implementing the strategy.
He made the remarks on Tuesday 21/2/2023 during a meeting with Central Bank of Egypt Governor Hassan Abdallah, Justice Minister Omar Marwan, Planning Minister /Hala Saeed, Solidarity Minister Nivine Kabbag, and Manpower Minister Hassan /Mohamed Shehata.
The premier said an action plan will be laid down to finalize this strategy and there will be a teamwork responsible for this file.
Presidential Spokesman Nader Saad said the meeting tackled the current unemployment rates as well as Egypt’s workforce indexes and the percentage of informal workers and means of getting them to join formal workers.
The meeting referred to national policies and programs contributing to upping employment rates, especially the Decent Life initiative, the spokesman added.
The talks also tackled projects of the Social Solidarity Ministry for combating unemployment, the spokesman said.
The premier underlined the importance of setting clear goals for the strategy in addition to issuing a certificate for accrediting Egyptian craftsmen.
He also highlighted the importance of specialized training programs as well as promoting women’s role in labor domains and magnifying the benefit of small businesses.
