Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said the government periodically follows up on the status of projects carried out as part of the Decent Life Presidential Initiative in a way that helps swiftly complete service projects that benefit residents of the villages covered by the initiative.
Madbouli made the remarks during a meeting he chaired on Tuesday14/2/2023 to review projects of the Decent Life Initiative to develop the Egyptian countryside.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Assem el Gazzar, Deputy Minister of Planning for Planning Affairs Ahmed Kamali, Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities for Infrastructure Affairs Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Communications for Infrastructure Affairs Raafat Hindy, along with other senior officials from the ministries and bodies concerned.
The meeting touched on work progress in projects of the first phase of the initiative that targets 1,477 villages, Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad said.
The projects discussed include the sectors of drinking water and sanitation, communications and information technology, in addition to postal services.
