PM follows up on status of projects funded by development partners

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said a number of major investment projects have been agreed upon over the past period with Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar, which contributes to increasing foreign investments, generating more job opportunities, and locally transferring industry and technology.

 

Madbouli made the remarks during a Cabinet meeting on Thursday  31/3/2022 to follow up on the status of projects funded by development partners.

 

The meeting was attended by Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala el Saeed, Minister of International Cooperation Rania el Mashat, Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait, Deputy Minister of Finance for Fiscal Policies Ahmed Kouchouk, Deputy Minister of Planning for Planning Affairs Ahmed Kamali, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Menna Farid, in addition to other senior officials.

 

The prime minister said that the meeting comes within the framework of continued follow-up of a number of projects being implemented in cooperation with development partners, and proposals for cooperation in infrastructure projects or development projects that contribute to achieving development, boosting investments, and providing more job opportunities.

 

The meeting is also held in light of the repercussions of the Russia-Ukraine crisis, he added.
