PM: Electricity price rise delayed for 6 months upon Sisi’s directives

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli announced on Wednesday that the government decided to delay for six months a decision for increasing electricity prices upon the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in the aftermath of global developments.

 

Addressing a press conference at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, the prime minister said the government would shoulder the biggest burden of increase in prices of basic commodities estimated at 10 billion pounds.

 

The prime minister pointed out to recently-inaugurated projects, saying of three of them aimed to provide food security for citizens.
