Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired a meeting on Monday to follow up on plans on electrical linkage with a number of neighboring countries and reviewed efforts exerted to establish green hydrogen projects across the country.
Attended by Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker and Petroleum Minister Tarek Al Molla, the meeting tackled a plan to rationalize electricity consumption in light of the global gas crisis, Cabinet spokesman Nader Saad said.
The meeting pointed to plans of electrical linkage with the European Union as a consulting office is currently conducting the related studies.
The prime minister asserted the importance of harnessing all efforts to establish green hydrogen projects as they will be attracting more foreign direct investments to the country in the coming period.
The meeting discussed implementing a plan to rationalize electricity consumption at ministries and governmental bodies.
