Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli discussed in a cabinet meeting Sunday a plan to develop Al Qasr Al Ayni hospitals, affiliated to Cairo University, and that is set in tandem with the 200th anniversary of establishing the original entity coinciding with 2027. The hospitals serve two million citizens nationwide, as the gradual expansion contributed to the reduction of crowdedness.
According to State Information Service Egypt, President of Cairo University Mohamed al-Khosht stated in June that the Medical School has 25 affiliated hospitals that are equipped with the most modern devices. Cairo University has emerged as the frontrunner among 20 universities in Egypt listed in the 2024 Center for World University Rankings (CWUR).
The rankings, which feature 2,000 universities worldwide, highlight the historic Cairo University’s position as the leading institution in Egypt, securing the 513th spot.
