Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli directed the government to prepare a plan in the coming period to simplify the procedures to issue licenses for pharmaceutical factories and medical supplies.
The premier’s directives came during a cabinet meeting that he chaired on Thursday 9/2/2023, in the presence of Chairman of the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, Medical Supply and Technology Management (AUPP) Bahaa Zidan, as they reviewed the authority’s activity.
During the meeting, AUPP head briefed the prime minister on the authority’s efforts to provide medicines and medical supplies, as well as the executive plan to build strategic warehouses for medical products and devices.
Zidan also posted Madbouli on the development of cooperation with a number of global pharmaceutical companies to manufacture drugs in the country.
On his part, the prime minister said the government works on providing the necessary finance for strengthening the country’s strategic stock of medicines and various medical supplies.
