Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired a meeting, 6-2-2023, in the presence of Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker.
The meeting was held to follow up on several files related to the Electricity and New and Renewable Energy Ministry, said Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad.
During the meeting, Shaker reviewed the executive position of several ongoing projects being implemented by his ministry.
The minister further referred to the executive status of a number of projects, which are being implemented as part of the “Decent Life” Presidential Initiative that aims to provide a decent life for all citizens.
Shaker also drew attention to the progress made so far in securing electricity service to development projects, which are implemented in the various industrial and agricultural spheres.
The meeting followed up on efforts exerted to lure more local and foreign investments to new and renewable energy projects and ways to boost the private sector’s role in implementing projects in this area.
Agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) which were signed to implement green hydrogen projects also figured high during the meeting.
