Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired on Tuesday 7/2/2023 a meeting of the board of directors of the Export Development Fund in the presence of Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El Sayed El Quseir, Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Eissa, and Deputy Minister of Finance for Fiscal Policies Ahmed Kouchouk.
The meeting was also attended by Managing Executive Director of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) Ahmed Ghoneim, Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) Tarek Tawfik, Chairman of the Food Export Council Hani Berzi, along with officials from a number of ministries and authorities concerned.
Today’s meeting comes within the framework of developing a program to support and stimulate Egyptian exports, Madbouli said, pointing out that multiple meetings have been held with a large number of exporters to discuss proposed measures and steps that are expected to help increase the country’s exports.
The prime minister added that there has been coordination with the finance minister as regards allocating the sums of money required to stimulate exports as of next year, Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad said.
The meeting also touched on proposals to support companies working in electronic industries in Egypt, and ways to attract more investments to this vital sector.
