Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli attended on Wednesday an official dinner banquet in the presence of Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife on the fringe of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
FOCAC focuses on enhancing African-Chinese cooperation within the framework of initiatives adopted by Beijing in this regard as well as the goals of the 2063 African Development Agenda.
The prime minister is scheduled to deliver a speech at the session on ‘industrial transformation, agriculture sector modernization, and green development’. He will also participate in a number of high-level sessions.
On the sidelines of FOCAC, Madbouli will hold important meetings with Chinese and African officials, including representatives of prominent Chinese companies operating in Egypt.
He will also attend the signing ceremonies of some agreements and MoUs related to new or existing investments in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), as well as ICT cooperation deals.
