Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly affirmed the Egyptian State’s keenness to increase reliance on renewable energy, especially wind power, in electricity generation and water desalination, as well as benefiting from green hydrogen as a source of clean energy.
This came during a meeting he had Thursday 7/7/2022, with Electricity and New and Renewable Energy Minister Mohamed Shaker to follow up on the implementation of a number of projects in this vital sector.
Cabinet spokesman Nader Saad said the meeting tackled the executive status of a number of projects in the field of clean energy and coordination with the UAE on a wind farm project with a capacity of 10 gigawatts whose deal is expected to be inked following Eidul Adha holiday.
The meeting also took up studies on green hydrogen projects and progress in the implementation of the Dabaa nuclear power plant.
