The Planning and Economic Development Ministry reviewed on Friday Egypt’s experiment in measuring the dimensions of the Illicit financial flows (IFFs) stemming from activities such trade, taxes, drugs and crimes.

This came during the ministry’s participation in a conference of pilot activities for measuring illicit financial flows (IFFs) in Africa, held in Addis Ababa and organized by the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and UN Office for Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

Representatives of 12 African countries attended the conference and reviewed their efforts in this regard.

The representatives hailed Egypt’s efforts to adopt steps to measure IFFs in order to secure financial resources for achieving sustainable development.
