Planning and Economic Development Minister Hala El Said affirmed the depth of Egyptian-Pakistani ties.
This came during the minister’s meeting Friday with a delegation of the Pakistani National School of Public Policy (NSPP) that included senior officials of the Pakistani government.
The minister further said that her ministry is keen on offering all the necessary support to the Pakistani delegation during their visit to Egypt.
A workshop was held to brief the Pakistani delegation on the ministry’s tasks and its ongoing projects.
During the workshop, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Office at the ministry Mohamed Alaa referred to the “Decent Life” initiative, saying that it mainly aims to improving the quality of life in 4, 500 villages across Egypt.
The initiative also targets 58 percent of Egypt’s total population, he further said.
He also shed light on the development role carried out by the initiative in developing the rural area in Egypt.
Alaa, meanwhile, pointed out to the effective participation of the private sector and the NGO in this initiative.
