Petroleum Ministry: UEG Looking Forward to Boosting Production.


CAIRO: Song Yu, Executive Chairman of United Energy Group (UEG), affirmed the company’s commitment to enhancing its operations in Egypt with a focus on expanding excavation programs to increase production. The statement reflects UEG’s interest in acquiring new exploration zones to further their efforts.

According to State Information Service Egypt, these remarks were made during a meeting between Song Yu and Minister of Petroleum Karim Badawi. The discussions centered around UEG’s current activities in several key regions, including Borg El Arab, Abu Sanan, and Natroun Valley located in the Western Desert.

In parallel, Minister Badawi engaged in talks with Girish K. Saligram, President and CEO of Weatherford, to explore opportunities for cooperation in the realm of technological and digital advancements. During the meeting, Badawi outlined the petroleum ministry’s priorities, which emphasize enhancing production capabilities and the pivotal role of technology and digital solutions in achieving this goal.
