Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla discussed on Monday with a Greek economic delegation, under the head of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce (AmChamGR), means to cement cooperation between the two sides in the energy domain.
During a meeting with the visiting Greek delegation, Molla said “there are many areas of cooperation between the two sides topped by the trade and circulation of liquefied gas”.
He said the partnership of the two countries under the umbrella of the East Mediterranean Gas Forum and the role of Egypt as a regional gas hub, would open more horizons of cooperation and help market gas from Egypt to central Europe, Bulgaria and Romania via Greece.
For his part, the head of the Greek delegation hailed the development Egypt witnessed especially in the energy domain.
He invited minister Molla to attend the inauguration of a port for receiving liquefied gas in Greece in September in the presence of the Greek prime minister and the minister of energy and environment.
