Petroleum Minister Karim Badwy opened on Sunday 20-10-2024 the Mediterranean Offshore Conference and Exhibition (MOC) that was launched in 2000 as a pioneering technical event in the Mediterranean region focusing on highlighting the latest technological advances in the energy industry.

The three-day event is being held under the theme of Mapping the Future of Mediterranean Energy: Optimizing Exploration, Development, and Production with Decarbonization Technologies for a Sustainable Tomorrow.

The Cypriot energy minister, chiefs of major international organizations, executive directors of several world energy companies and leaderships of the Egyptian petroleum industry are taking part in the event.

The event aims at exploring opportunities of cooperation between countries and investors in the Mediterranean region as well as setting up new strategic partnerships.

It also aims at exchanging expertise to develop energy industry.

MOC is a leading technical platform that links and addresses all regional energy
activities, bringing relevant stakeholders to explore the vast energy potentials the Mediterranean region holds.
