Petroleum min. asserts importance of Egypt’s participation in WEF

Petroleum Minister Tarek el Molla underlined the importance of Egypt’s participation in the proceedings of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in order to promote ties and maintain joint coordination with the active players in the global economy.

The WEF will also contribute to promoting policies aiming to beef up investments in the various economic spheres, especially in light of the the ensuing global challenges, he added in statements Monday.

The minister said that the meeting will be an opportunity for holding dialogue, exchanging viewpoints and meeting energy experts.

The WEF, held under the theme of “History at a Turning Point: Government Policies and Business Strategies,” will see the participation of about 2,500 political, business, civil society and media leaders.

The WFE’s meeting will be the first in-person annual meeting in more than two years, where leaders are set to discuss a host of global issues, including the coronavirus pandemic, the Russia-Ukraine crisis, geo-economic shocks and climate change.
