Chairman of the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA), Fares Braizat, welcomed a delegation from the Austrian embassy, accompanied by renewable energy specialists.

The meeting focused on potential cooperation between the PDTRA and the embassy in renewable energy, including the utilization of wind energy and the exploitation of untapped green spaces for energy production.

Braizat emphasized the importance of such partnerships and the PDTRA’s readiness to collaborate in renewable energy projects. He highlighted the role of wind energy in promoting sustainability and reducing pollution and harmful emissions in response to climate change.

Hamza Olayani, the PDTRA’s Commissioner of Infrastructure and Investment, showcased the authority’s achievements in renewable energy and environmental projects. He underscored the innovative and effective investment in sustainable energy to enhance services for visitors.

The Austrian delegation expressed keen interest in forming a partnership and working on
joint development projects to improve services and provide distinguished offerings in the region.
