Parlt Refers 2 Presidential Decrees to Constitutional Affairs Committee


Cairo: The House of Representatives under Hanafi el Gebali referred on Sunday two presidential decrees to the constitutional and legislative affairs committee for review. The first decree is related to the approval of mutual letters between Egypt and Japan on a one-billion-yen grant for the country’s economic and social development programs. The second decree revolves around the approval of the mutual letters between Egypt and Japan on a grant to upgrade the Cairo Opera House’s infrastructure and equipment.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the review by the constitutional and legislative affairs committee is a standard procedure for such international agreements. The first decree aims to support various economic and social development initiatives within Egypt, leveraging the financial aid from Japan to foster growth in multiple sectors. The second decree focuses on enhancing the cultural infrastructure of the Cairo Opera House, ensuring it is equipped to host a range of performances and events.
