A Palestinian youth was injured by live ammunition and another was detained during confrontations that erupted tonight with Israeli forces in the town of Yabad, south of Jenin. Forces also stormed Jenin’s town of Jaba’a and various other villages in the governorate, according to security sources. Sources told WAFA that Israeli occupation forces stormed several neighborhoods in the town of Yabad, where they set up ambushes in the vicinity of commercial shops and homes, and deployed infantry divisions in the olive and agricultural fields, spurring confrontations. Forces attacked residents with live fire, stun grenades, and tear gas canisters, shooting and wounding a youth, 24, with a live bullet in the hand. A nineteen-year-old was also detained by the forces during the confrontations. Forces further opened fire on a vehicle in the al-Bayader area in Jenin City, however, no injuries were reported. In a related matter, Israeli forces raided the village of Jalboun to the northeast of Jenin, where they took over an abandoned house in the center of the village belonging to a local resident. They also raided various neighborhoods in Jalboun village and carried out a combing campaign. Sources said that violent confrontations also broke out at the entrance of Jalboun village. Forces stormed several villages to the southwest of Jenin, and the village of al-Jalama to the northeast of Jenin, and conducted wide-scale combing campaigns.
