QALQILYA: A Palestinian teenager was injured with live bullets and dozens suffocated today during the Israeli occupation forces’ crackdown on the weekly anti-colonies rally in the village of Kafr Qaddoum east of Qalqilya, said local sources.

Sources reported that the occupation soldiers fired live bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters at the peaceful protesters, shooting and injuring a 14-year-old boy with live bullets in the foot. He was taken to a hospital in Nablus, where his condition was described as stable.

Dozens of people were also treated at the scene from tear gas suffocation.

For years, villagers from Kafr Qaddum and neighboring villages have been protesting every Friday against illegal Israeli settlements, and calling on Israeli authorities to reopen the village’s main road, which has been sealed off by the occupation authorities since 2002.
