A Palestinian man succumbed this evening to injuries he had sustained yesterday after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Beit Hanoun, north of the Gaza Strip, according to local sources. The shooting attack was in breach of the temporary humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip.
The man passed away due to injuries sustained from Israeli gunfire on Wednesday while attempting to inspect his home in Beit Hanoun, which has been one of the worst hit areas by the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip, the sources said.
Since the beginning of the temporary humanitarian truce on November 24, there have been several breaches by Israeli occupation forces, resulting in casualties among Palestinians attempting to return to their destroyed homes in central and northern Gaza to assess the damage and retrieve essential belongings.
On November 26, a farmer was killed and another was injured by Israeli gunfire while working on their land east of the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in the Central Governorate of Gaza.
The first day of the ceasefire also witnessed Israeli occupation forces targeting a group of civilians attempting to move from the south to the north of the Gaza Strip. This resulted in the murder of two individuals and the injury of others.
