Palestinian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Farseen Shaheen, commended on Wednesday the King, government, and people of Jordan for their support of the Palestinian cause in all international fora and for providing the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip with the necessary relief.
In a meeting with Jordan Ambassador to Palestine, Issam Al-Bdour, at the ministry’s headquarters in Ramallah on Wednesday evening, Shaheen praised the State of Palestine’s longstanding fraternal relations with Jordan, highlighting the need of ongoing cooperative coordination between the two countries, as directed by His Majesty King Abdullah II and President Mahmoud Abbas.
Shaheen went over the terrible circumstances in light of the war of annihilation and displacement of the besieged Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, as well as the hardships faced by the people living in the occupied West Bank, particularly the occupation’s ongoing aggression against the camps and cities of Jenin and Tulkarem.
Al-Bdour
, in turn, highlighted the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to bring humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip in conjunction with providing the necessary aid to the occupied West Bank, addressing the situation of Jordanian field hospitals in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, which continue their work to serve the Palestinian people despite all obstacles.
He also reiterated the Kingdom’s firm stance in support of the Palestinian cause, noting that the Kingdom, under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, continues its efforts in all forums to stop the Israeli aggression and realize the just and legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
