Palestinian Ambassador discusses with Government of Bangladesh means to support Palestinian question

DKAKA: Ambassador to Bangladesh, Youssuf Ramadan, Tuesday discussed with the Government of Bangladesh the means to support the Palestinian Question.

Ambassador Ramadan had a meeting with Chief Adviser to the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Mohammed Yunus, and the Foreign Affairs Adviser, Mohammed Tawhid Hossain, during which they addressed the developments on the Palestinian arena and the deteriorating humanitarian situation resulting from the ongoing genocidal Israeli aggression.

The Palestinian diplomat expressed his appreciation to the leadership and people of Bangladesh for supporting the Palestinian people, as he commended the speech delivered by Yunus at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, in which he called for an immediate ceasefire in Palestine, holding the perpetrators of crimes against humanity accountable.

They reviewed the priorities of the Palestinian leadership in confronting Israeli policies and stressed the need to implement UN resolutions, including the recent UNGA
resolution demanding Israel end ‘unlawful presence’ in Occupied Palestinian Territory.

With regard to bilateral cooperation, Ambassador Ramadan stressed the importance of the scholarships offered to Palestinian students in Bangladeshi universities, and touched on the efforts aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

For his part, Yunus reiterated his country’s support for the Palestinian people and hope that the Palestinian people would realize their legitimate rights, at a time when Foreign Affairs Adviser, Hossain, stressed his country’s firm position on the Palestinian issue and support for the two-state solution.
