Ramallah – Ma’an – The Palestine Islamic Bank launched a payment service through a smart payment ring and bracelet as part of its strategy for digital transformation and enhancing electronic payment solutions.

This digital service allows the bank’s customers to make payments digitally and contactlessly using a smart payment ring or smart payment bracelet without the need to pay using traditional methods or even carry a bank card.

The General Manager of the Palestine Islamic Bank, Dr. Imad Al-Saadi, said that this new digital service aims to encourage customers to move towards electronic payment solutions, and it also comes within the framework of the bank’s keenness to enhance their banking experience and achieve their aspirations for digital services that are constantly changing and developing, especially among the youth.

Al-Saadi added: ‘We are keen to keep pace with technological developments and the great revolution in the world of payments and banking services. We have recently worked on launching many digital services to facilitate our customers and enable them to enjoy banking services quickly and around the clock. As part of these efforts, the ATM network has been updated and the instant deposit service for checks and deposit cards has been launched. We are also continuing to prepare to launch more digital services in the coming period.’

Al-Saadi stressed that the bank’s continuous achievements and the issuance of distinguished services and products on a regular basis despite all circumstances and challenges would not have been possible without the directives of the Board of Directors and the strategic plans prepared in advance and their efficient implementation by all administrative ranks in the bank and under the supervision of the Sharia Supervisory Board, which ensures that all the bank’s activities comply with the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia.

The mission and vision of the Palestine Islamic Bank revolve around excellence in providing modern and secure banking and investment solutions in accordance with the provisions of Islamic Sharia. It also sets a well-thought-out strategy to proceed with the digital transformation process, which resulted in the launch of pioneering digital services such as the digital call center, Islamic Online and Islamic Mobile services, which provide a distinctive package of banking services through an easy and safe environment that enhances the digital experience for individual and corporate customers. The bank is considered the largest Islamic banking network in Palestine, with 43 branches and offices and 100 ATMs.
