Pakistan has launched an initiative to support 192 Palestinian medical students whose studies were interrupted by the ongoing war on Gaza and the West Bank.
The students will be provided with full scholarships to continue their medical education at universities in Pakistan, according to a statement released Wednesday by the Pakistani embassy in Amman.
The program is being implemented through a partnership between Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Global Relief Trust, and Doctors of Rahman.
The first group of 27 Palestinian students arrived in Lahore today via Cairo and was received by representatives from Alkhidmat Foundation, Doctors of Rahman, and Global Relief Trust at Allama Iqbal International Airport.
The initiative is being carried out under the directives of the Government of Pakistan, with Alkhidmat Foundation responsible for providing accommodation and other necessary support to the students during their stay in Pakistan.
