JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned on Thursday the ongoing of the Israeli colonial settlement policy in the occupied Palestinian territory, the latest of which was the approval of the construction of about 3,500 new colonial units.
The organization affirmed, in a statement, that Israeli colonists are invalid, illegitimate and unlawful, under international law, the Geneva Conventions and relevant United Nations resolutions, including UN Security Council Resolution No. 2334.
It called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in putting an end to all crimes and violations committed by the Israeli occupation throughout the occupied Palestinian territory, including the city of Jerusalem.

Minister of Interior Mahmoud Tawfiq received on Thursday Minister of Interior of South Sudan Angelina Jany Teny and her accompanying delegation during her official visit to Egypt.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed aspects of cooperation between the Ministries of Interior in the two countries and ways to enhance them, in addition to the latest developments in security issues of common interest.
Jany stated that her visit to Cairo comes within the framework of distinguished relations and continuous consultation between officials of the two countries, stressing her country’s interest in exchanging experiences with the security services. Egyptian efforts in various fields of security, especially combating illegal immigration, as well as its aspiration to strengthen communication channels and mechanisms for exchanging information between the two sides in light of the security challenges imposed by the current situation in the region.
