Occupation forces tighten siege on Ibrahimi Mosque and Old City of Hebron

HEBRON: Israeli occupation forces have intensified their siege of the Ibrahimi Mosque and the Old City of Hebron, significantly increasing their restrictions around the holy site.

Ghassan Al-Rajabi, the director of the Ibrahimi Mosque, reported that Israeli forces have reinforced their restrictions, expanding military checkpoints and roadblocks between the neighborhoods of the Old City and the mosque entrance.

Al-Rajbi noted that forces stationed at the mosque’s entrance have heightened their scrutiny, stopping worshippers to check their identification cards and denying entry to some individuals.

He condemned these actions as discriminatory, targeting places of worship and restricting Muslims’ ability to perform their prayers and religious celebrations peacefully.
